I came here for an Afternoon Tea experience as a surprise for a friend and it was by far one of the best days I’ve had and I can’t stop raving about it!
The afternoon tea was amazing!! We were given a choice of plain/fruit scones, different cakes and sandwiches, all homemade and a wide selection of refreshments too. I’ve already booked for April and I honestly can’t wait. I would definitely recommend to my friends/family as it is a lovely atmosphere, decor, food/drink, friendly staff and it is great to have somewhere special to go such as Terrace on the Hill! Thank you all x

Popped in for a coffee and so glad we did! The cakes are to die for! Ended up buying 6 to takeaway! Well worth a visit and looking forward to coming again soon!

I had been looking for somewhere a ‘little bit special’ for my husbands birthday, and following a fantastic lunch with a friend at Terrace on the hill, I decided to book an evening meal. Evening dinner was equally fantastic;- beautifully fresh ingredients, stunning presentation and perfect service – the team were welcoming and efficient but also discreet. We were served 7 courses of sheer indulgence! Every seat in the restaurant was full, and with just the one sitting for evening dinner, (so you can dine at your leisure), I was glad to have pre-booked. Marie and the team deserve every success – we will be returning to sample afternoon tea any day now!

Absolutely superb way to spend our anniversary! We came on Friday night to the most wonderful tasting menu and a perfectly matched wine flight! The staff were very attentive and knew the courses perfectly! It’s the second time we have been here but the first time we have been for the tasting menu and we will certainly be back!! Five stars!

Love this place for afternoon tea! Visited with a dairy free friend, booked and let the guys know our requirement and they made such a huge fuss of us. Fab treatment from a lovely team, would visit every day if I could!!

We had heard that the Terrace was worth a visit so my wife and I popped in for Saturday lunch a few weeks ago. It was so good that we booked there and then to have an evening “tasting menu” to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
Last night’s dinner was very nice indeed, great food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We arrived a little bit early but we had a great welcome and were invited to wait with aperitifs until dinner was ready to be served. The first course really set the scene for rest of the meal, a generously portioned “amuse-bouche” of Thai spiced butternut squash soup that set the taste buds tingling straight away. The rest of the meal kept up the standard right through to the “deconstructed” sherry trifle.
In all a fantastic evening of fine dining in an unpretentious atmosphere, we will certainly be back.
